About this Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the ZikPop mobile application (the “App”), developed by Viranaiken Jessy, based in France. It describes how your information is handled when you use the App.

By using ZikPop, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

We run no server.

ZikPop has no account, no sign-in, and no database of players. We collect no analytics, no crash reports, and nothing that identifies you.

What the App keeps — the first name you type before a game, the avatar photo you optionally choose, your game settings and counters, and a copy of your purchase status — is stored on your device and is never sent to us.

What the others in the room see

When you host or join a game, your name and avatar are sent directly to the other players’ devices over your local network — the same Wi-Fi you are all on. They travel device to device; they do not pass through us or any other company.

They are shared only for the length of the game, and only with the people in that session.

Why we request access

ZikPop requests the following device permissions solely to provide its core features. Each one is asked for at the moment it is needed, and you can refuse it.

Everything stays on your device.

Your name, avatar, settings, counters and purchase status are stored locally on your iPhone. ZikPop has no cloud sync and no backend of its own. Deleting the app removes all associated data.

Hosting is the paid part.

Hosting your own games is a paid feature. Payment is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your card, your Apple Account, or your billing details.

To know what you own, we use RevenueCat, which records your purchase history against an anonymous identifier generated on your device. That identifier is not linked to your name, your email, or anything you typed in the App.

Two, and no others.

Apple (for Apple Music playback and for payment) and RevenueCat (for purchase status) are the only third parties involved. ZikPop integrates no SDK for analytics, advertising, or tracking, and no data is shared with anyone else for any reason.

A party game for all ages.

ZikPop collects no personal data beyond a chosen first name and an optional photo, neither of which leaves the room you are playing in.

Access, correction, deletion.

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. In practice, the data ZikPop holds about you lives on your device: deleting the app deletes it.

For purchase records held by RevenueCat, write to us at the address below and we will forward your request.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In France, this is the CNIL.

Changed your mind?

Every purchase in ZikPop is processed by Apple, which acts as the seller. Refunds and withdrawal requests are therefore handled by Apple rather than by us — ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Under EU consumer law you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on distance purchases. Passes and subscriptions unlock hosting immediately, so by buying one you ask for that immediate delivery and acknowledge that the withdrawal right ends once it has been delivered. Apple may nonetheless grant a refund at its discretion, and we will support any reasonable request you send us.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings: cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the period you have paid for running to its end.

Policy updates

If this policy is ever updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised date at the top. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
